It is unfortuante that my academic career is ending on such a disappointing note. These ridiculous classes that I am taking to diversify my ken are, as it were, ridiculous. Every self-reflective person knows that a diverse education is important, but few actually pursue one. Breadth comes at the expense of depth, and no one wants to sacrifice their expertise for motherese.

In stubbornness, I have tried to diversify this year, but things ended up worse. I should have followed my analytical intuition that these academic areas are what they are. Instead, I stood up to the face of reason, and got smothered.
