At this little coffee shop in downtown Iowa City, they brew drip coffee a little bit differently than Starbucks does. Their drip coffee station consists of twelve numbered filters and a hot water machine. When you order a coffee, they put some coarsely ground beans into one of those filters, and away you go. Hot water goes in, and coffee comes out. When the process is done, you grab the coffee from the station number which has been assigned to you. At this point, you smile a little smile, and take a little sip.
