When I arrived in Cedar Rapids, I was pleasantly surprised to see that the airport offered free wireless access. But before getting online, I decided to step outside.

First impression: Iowa smells like corn, and 50% of its female inhabitants have corn-coloured hair.

Second impression: Nothing is more sublime than flat topography.

Third impression: I could live here.
