Today is my birthday. I am celebrating by taking a solo cycling trip to Bowen Island. I have no idea whether the roads on that island are paved, or whether there is even anything of interest there, but I am positive that leaving the mainland on this special day will be the right choice.

This might seem like an odd way to spend a birthday. If it does, then I am certain that we speak different languages.
